We support and invest directly in education, employability and enterprise in our communities, because we know that when they thrive, we do too.
Our community investment is also about much more than the financial support we give. 360 students have been supported as Lloyds Scholars, 1,300 entrepreneurs will have completed the School for Social Entrepreneurs programme by 2017, our colleagues raised over £4.46m for BBC Children in Need in 2014 and they have delivered 1m paid volunteering hours since 2013.
As the first ever Principal Partner and Exclusive Schools Partner to BBC Children in Need we empowered children across the UK to plan and run their own events to raise even more money for BBC Children in Need.
Our social entrepreneurs programme is a pioneering initiative delivered through our partnership with the School for Social Entrepreneurs and the Big Lottery Fund has a proven track record of supporting bright ideas that make a difference. The programme will distribute £12m and support over 1,300 social entrepreneurs over 5 years, benefitting 800,000 people in local communities and creating 4,000 jobs.
